You will get ads only when advertisers want to send advertisements to you.
For this to happen, two things must happen:
a. Advertisers must first want to advertise on mGinger, a new medium. Since it is a new medium advertisers are approaching slowly. Many are not even aware that mGinger exists. They are taking time.
b. Those advertisers who do sign-up must want to target you. Advertisers target you based on your interests, location, age, gender, salary, occupation and many more parameters. If you do not suit their criteria, they will not send their ad to you.
When you selected the “Max. Number of ads per day” as 10 (or 7 or 5 etc), it is only your preference. It does not mean that you will surely get 10 ads every day. It only means that the maximum that you can ever get on a single day is 10. On some days you might not receive even a single ad, on others you might receive a few but not exceeding your preference.
mGinger doesn’t claim that it will send you any particular number of advertisements every day. Please understand that mGinger is just a medium. When advertisers come, you will get ads, when they don’t you will not get ads.
Please do not get carried away by the hype. Here is the reality: the money you will make from mGinger will in most cases for a long time not be much. The value of the service is not in the money you make directly from mGinger but in the valuable, relevant information that you get.

It will take a long time before we can get enough advertisers on a regular basis to send you even 10% of your max preference ads. This whole industry is a baby. Out of Rs. 16,000 Crores spent every year on advertising not even 0.005% is spent on mobile advertising. So, your guess is as good as ours on how long it will take to move some of this spend to mobile.

So, this is what we have to say to you: You will see very few ads on our network for some time (how long? Maybe 4 months, 6 months, we can’t say), have patience, stick to us, we are trying our best to attract advertisers.

All in all, this is a wonderful idea and especially in the Indian Market its AWESOME!!!.

But all in all why is the option for Max. no.of messages that one can select to recieve limited to only 10 in number. As a mater of fact i am interested to get much more than that. So why dont the number be increased??

All in all, this is a wonderful idea and especially in the Indian Market its AWESOME!!!.

Dear Manager,

As Mginger is small and is growing, u can accept small advertisers advertisement with very less amounts also targetiing less number of Mobile users…These small advertisers might also be area specific..Say they only want to advertise in Delhi, Or a particular state.Then why dont you open some Offices of yours own at some places, some states so that the credibility with popularity of Mginger grows.

MGINGER is a gr8 idea. am trying to grow my network as much as possible. Here are a few suggestions -

1. You may give a list of top 10 ppl with the largest network. This will not only motivate the other members, but also give them a target which can be taken as a challenge.

2. As an organisation, you should also make more attempts to popularise MGINGER, by posting regular adds in the newspaper with details of the number and variety of members u have.(i have never seen any. :(…)
Popularity not only in terms of attracting the advertisers but also in terms of attracting member registrations. More members automatically will bring more advertisers.

I think you are right. Not only the advertisers but even most of the persons whom I referred, didn’t also take much interest in this concept. I referred it to about 60 odd persons, only 8 of whom referred it to others. People still think it a waste of time due to their past experience. Don’t you think now the time has come to make more and more people aware about this brilliant concept. You must have to do something great to increase your user base.

Though the idea is exciting, but it would be feasible only when right management is practised.

This is no excuse that the industry is in nascent etc. You should have first located advertisers and then publicised the idea. This reflects the lack of seriousness in your initiative.

Every thing about Mginger seems to fine, and as mentioned above its only in bugenioning state it need time to get fully established.

But all in all why is the option for Max. no.of messages that one can select to recieve limited to only 10 in number. As a mater of fact i am interested to get much more than that. So why dont the number be increased??

Well just read wat uv wrote about this whole thing…I’m surprised by your so honest comments…In todays world there are more cheaters who lure you for nothin..well as you said mobile marketing is 0.05% of Rs 16000 crore spent…i beleive just as you do that this percentage is going to scale way high in coming time…since people have less time surfing television or net…but mobile is always handy…Must say its a good business plan…
