1. Why should you be paid for reading SMS?

At mGinger, we appreciate your act of registering as our user. We understand that you are often faced with time constraints and need to optimise your precious time accordingly. That is where we seek to relieve you of additional stress by delivering to you only relevant information that you require and at the times specified by you only.
   
   As a gesture of appreciation, we compensate your effort by paying you to read the advertisements we send to you. Join us today and be assured of receiving only relevant information and yes, of course, cash! And start earning CASH rewards without any investment or purchase needed. Plus, grow your network of family and friends and in turn make more profits. Refer your friends and you will be paid for the SMS that they receive. People who join as users (like you) actually help generate more cash rewards for you. For every advert that your friend receives, you get 10p and for every advert that your friend's friend receives you get 5p.

2. How does mGinger actually work?

   mGinger works by sending you advertisements in the form of SMS to your mobile phone. The adverts will consist of offers, vouchers, news and more. These adverts will be related to areas of your interest that you specify during sign-up. Also, you will receive these only in the timings that you specify. You can refer your friends to become a part of your network. You will get paid for the adverts that you and your friends receive.

3. When do we start getting Ads?

   You will get ads only when advertisers want to send advertisements to you.
   For this to happen, two things must happen:
   a. Advertisers must first want to advertise on mGinger, a new medium. Since it is a new medium advertisers are approaching slowly. Many are not even aware that mGinger exists. They are taking time.
   b. Those advertisers who do sign-up must want to target you. Advertisers target you based on your interests, location, age, gender, salary, occupation and many more parameters. If you do not suit their criteria, they will not send their ad to you.
   
   When you selected the " Max. Number of ads per day" as 10 (or 7 or 5 etc), it is only your preference. It does not mean that you will surely get 10 ads every day. It only means that the maximum that you can ever get on a single day is 10. On some days you might not receive even a single ad, on others you might receive a few but not exceeding your preference.
   
   mGinger doesn?t claim that it will send you any particular number of advertisements every day. Please understand that mGinger is just a medium. When advertisers come, you will get ads, when they don?t you will not get ads.
   
   Please do not get carried away by the hype. Here is the reality: the money you will make from mGinger will in most cases for a long time not be much. The value of the service is not in the money you make directly from mGinger but in the valuable, relevant information that you get.
   
   It will take a long time before we can get enough advertisers on a regular basis to send you even 10% of your max preference ads. This whole industry is a baby. Out of Rs. 16,000 Crores spent every year on advertising not even 0.005% is spent on mobile advertising. So, your guess is as good as ours on how long it will take to move some of this spend to mobile.
   
   So, this is what we have to say to you: You will see very few ads on our network for some time (how long? Maybe 4 months, 6 months, we can?t say), have patience, stick to us, we are trying our best to attract advertisers.

4. Is it really free to join?

   Yes, there is no fee to pay of any kind at anytime.

5. What are my OBLIGATIONS?

   There is no obligation on you to accept any of the offers sent via SMS or through our site mGinger; but you need to keep your account active after subscription. To do that, we just need you to notify us with your current and accurate information which includes your email address, mobile phone number and personal information. If we have any reasonable grounds to suspect any of the information provided is inaccurate or not current, we have the right to suspend or terminate your account with all earnings forfeited.
   
   An "Activity Verification SMS" will be sent to you once in a while. You must respond to this SMS.

6. How to join mGinger?

   You need a personal mobile (for receiving SMS) and an email account (for receiving administration or other messages) to join. Fill up the "Sign-up" form with your personnel details and then follow instructions.
   Signing up on behalf of a friend to receive SMS's on their mobile phone without consent is not allowed and constitutes fraud.

7. What is a Silver Registration?

   If you register by sending an SMS to 56767001, you become a silver member of mGinger. You will be paid 10 paise for every ad that you receive. You can upgrade to Gold membership for free by logging into mGinger.

Payment Questions

1. How many messages will I receive per day?

   We are aiming at sending up to 10 adverts a day. However, this maybe less depending on your interests and preferences that you select during the signup process or any later stage.

2. How much do I get paid per advert I receive?

   For each advert that you receive you get 20p. You can refer your friends and family on mGinger. For every advert that your friend receives, you get 10p and for every advert that your friend's friend receives you get 5p.

3. How do I find out how much earnings I've made?

   On the dash board, after logging in with your user name and password, you will find a mini statement giving your earning details. To know in detail about the same you will have to click on the link "Earning" in the main menu and you will be guided accordingly.

4. How do I get paid?

   After accumulating Rs. 300, you are entitled to receive a cheque from us, mailed to your address you provide during the signup process. Thus, it's in your best interest to provide us with the right and accurate mailing address and personal details. To receive the cheque, click on the "Pay me now" button on the "Earning" screen.

Support Questions

1. What happens if my phone is lost or stolen?

   Let us know straight away by mailing us at support@mginger.com and we will temporarily stop your adverts. You can again activate your services once you either get a new number or you have found your phone.

2. If I go out of station or on roaming will I still get my adverts?

   Yes. However, you maybe charged for receiving SMS outside of your own state. Check with your network operator. If you do not want to receive the adverts when you are outside of your state or on roaming, let us know (at support@mginger.com) and we'll stop your services till you activate your account again. When you get back contact us (at support@mginger.com) and we'll reverse it.

3. Can I temporarily stop receiving adverts and how do I go about re-starting them?

   If for any reason you want to stop receiving adverts, contact us (at support@mginger.com) and we will put a temporary stop on your number.

4. How is SMS rate charged by mobile operator? Are there any charges under roaming?

   It is free to receive SMS for most of the phone operators in India. However charges might be there through roaming, please verify with your phone operator.

5. What happens if I change my mobile number?

   Let us know ASAP (at support@mginger.com).

6. Can I stop receiving adverts completely or un-subscribe?

   Yes, you can do so by Un-Subscribing to the services. At the bottom of the page you have an option called "Unsubscribe". On clicking that we will terminate your services and all your accumulated earnings will also be lost. However, if you have accumulated more than Rs. 300, then you can ask for a payment of your earnings before you UN-subscribe from mGinger.
   
   To start receiving adverts again, you will have to build a new Id, password and account with us. This new account will have no relation to your old deleted account.

7. Forgot your User Name or Password Or Both?

   That happens sometimes! Go to our "Forgot Password" page and follow the instructions there. Your information can then be sent to you via e-mail.

8. How long do I have to wait until I receive my first mGinger text message?

   You will be able to receive mGinger text messages from the instant you activate your account. However, the number and frequency of your messages depend totally on your interests. Some days you may receive several messages, but on other occasions it may be several days between messages.

9. How can I change my personal details?

   It's Easy. Log into your account using your username and password and click on "Profile" link on the Main Menu.

10. How long does it take for my earnings to be credited after I receive the message?

    Whenever mGinger run a campaign then it is a batch process. As soon as you receive a message then please wait for 2 days for your mGinger account to get updated with the earnings. Check the inbox also in your mGinger account whether it is displaying the message or not. If after 2 days your account does not get updated then please do send mail to us and we will do the needful.
